First let me begin by saying that a single day in Las Vegas is not enough to enjoy all the surprises Las Vegas has to offer. But even though I only had a day to spend in Las Vegas, I must say it was still an experience to remember.
I only had a few days off from work but I still consider myself lucky for being able to go to Las Vegas for a road trip last March. The road trip to Las Vegas was with my friends at work, mostly nurses like me. The first thing we did was to try a horseback riding tour at Wild West Horseback Adventure. Their location is at 2470 Chandler Avenue and is just around 13 minutes from downtown Las Vegas.Wild West offers many rides and tours but we specifically joined the Maverick Breakfast Ride. It was a 5-hour tour but honestly I didn't get bored at all. The tour started at 7 in the morning. We ate western-style breakfast which was part of the horseback tour package of $109.99. It's true; the breakfast was an authentic western one, with perfectly cooked eggs, flap jacks, bacon, sausage and orange juice. That was more than enough to get us energized before the tour.
We were assisted by a professional and approachable guide. Seeing the Red Rock Canyon was so breathtaking! I was so thankful I was able to join the tour. We saw jaw-dropping views of the mountain chains and western environment. I felt like I was a true cowgirl! After the one hour horseback ride, we were then taken to the cowboy town and petting zoo.
After the tour, we went to Planet Hollywood and dined at Yolos, a Mexican cuisine restaurant. The restaurant is splashed with vibrant colors, giving you a true Mexican feel.
We had to cut the road trip early because we needed to be fully recharged by tomorrow for another hectic day at the hospital. But we still had a great time in Las Vegas and we will surely come back for more.
