My Perfect Weekend... |
|
| You may cross out Las Vegas as a family destination but not me. Traveling to Las Vegas Metro area with the whole family, I had a wonderful and totally awesome weekend and great memories to share. A weekend in Las Vegas with my husband and two teenagers meant a Las Vegas trip minus the clubs, bars, casinos and strips. We were very particular about the hotel since most of the hotels in Las Vegas have casinos. We chose a family hotel, Trump Hotel Las Vegas. This is actually a new hotel near the Strips but with family-friendly amenities and location. We went to Nellis Dunes and tried the buggy ride. This is actually something for all ages, young and old. You need to be 16 years old to drive a buggy and you need to have a driver's license, too. This was sad news for my 15-year old boy. He had to ride a 2-seater buggy with me driving. But I think he still managed to enjoy the ride. After the buggy ride, we ate at Blueberry Hill family Restaurants at 4435 Las Vegas Boulevard North Las Vegas. I ordered from their Flavors of Italy. Chicken and Fettuccini Alfredo was great. My husband ate BBQ Baby Back Ribs and our sons had Pot Roast and Stuffed Chicken. All in all, the food was great. Then we went to Secret Garden and Dolphin Habitat at the Mirage. There were actually many animals aside from dolphins such as golden tigers, a white lion and black panthers. I loved the white lion! It was white as snow and looked so tame. The next day, we went to the Springs Preserve and shopping centers to shop for some items. Our Las Vegas Weekend was made even more fun because I was with my family, and that is the best part. |
